Beware of the FAKE

Ok, but how do I tell if its FAKE or NATURAL or ALL NATURAL? Well let me tell you something gorgeous, just because it says NATURAL on the label doesn't make it NATURAL. Yeah, we would love it if ALL skincare companies labeled their products according to what is actually in the bottle. Lets face it, they don't! But don't worry, we are here to help you with these crazy twist and turns called ingredients, and help guide you out of this maze of madness. Are you with us?

So, lets understand the number one problem when it comes to skincare labels and their ingredients. Ready? There is no recognized standards for what NATURAL really means. Companies are free to use this word anyway they want, making things up as they go. These companies are providing misleading information by calling their product NATURAL, no matter what is on the ingredients list.

So there you are in the natural food store, you see the pretty packaging, but its the one that says NATURAL that catches your eye. After all, it does say NATURAL right there on the front of the bottle. That must mean it is a better product and has to be good for you. Right? Wrong!

You know what you put on your body will end up in it don't you? It is said that up to 70% of what goes on our skin ends up in our bloodstream. Now that's not good! Did you know that the most common synthetic ingredient in NATURAL skincare is fragrance? So, here is a simple way to tell synthetic fragrance even if the product is labeled NATURAL. If you see the words fragrance, fragrance oils, or perfume - put the bottle down and back away slowly. These not so NATURAL fragrances can contain dozens of potentially hazardous synthetic chemicals, some even derived from petroleum. EWW!

To keep our products completely 100% All-Natural we use both essential oils and natural aroma oils. What's the difference? Ah good question! Essential oils are a concentrated, liquid plant extract used for aromatic and wellness purposes. They are called essential because they contain the plants "essence". Natural aroma oils on the other hand, are derivatives from portions of the plant that contain the scent and focus on aroma only.

Why use both? We like to have fun and be creative when making our products. Let's face it, we can't get a Black Current essential oil and man Black Current smells amazing! We opt to use the all natural aroma oil to make a great "fragrance" free 100% natural product. Either way, ALL our essential oils and aroma oils are all natural in origin. So relax, our oils are Vegan, Gluten Free and GMO free for a heathy synthetic free all-natural experience. You won't find any FAKE stuff HERE!
