SPring Skincare TIps

Spring Skincare Tips you need to know

Who else here is glad to see the harsh winter turn into Spring? Spring is my favorite time of year, but the winter can leave my skin dry & dull. Don't think Spring will be without its own challenges for your skin which is why it is important to maintain a healthy skincare routine all year long.

These are some simple steps you can incorporating into your daily routine all year long. Who is with me???

Step 1: Moisturize Daily

In the Winter months, it is easier to feel your skins dryness & treat it with a moistening lotion or oil, but it’s still important to moisturize your skin in the Spring (and all year really). The warmer weather brings more outdoor activities and with that sweat, which can be very dehydrating. It is especially important to replenish skin by moisturizing after being in the sun. In addition to daily moisturizing, drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

Step 2: Exfoliate Frequently

It is important to exfoliate 2-3 times per week to help remove dead skin cells, which will leave your skin with a natural glow. For best results it can help to exfoliate before shaving. After exfoliating make sure to moisturize to help smooth skin and balance skins natural moisture levels. It is easy to make your own DIY exfoliating scrub or find one that is all natural with no harsh ingredients.

Step 3: Use a face and body mask

Who doesn't love a good face & body mask? Spring is a great time to use a mask at least once a week. Get creative with the ingredients you add to your mask, like cucumber, coconut milk powder or your favorite essential oil. Using a mask weekly will help rejuvenate your skin, add needed moisture, help with acne & breakouts, not to mention your skin will look healthier.

Step 4: Wash you face

When spending more time outdoors you skin will naturally attract more environmental pollutants & sweat can clog pores. It is important to always remove your makeup (and pollutants) by washing your face. You should always use a facial wash (cleanser) that is made for your skin type. It is best for acne prone skin to use a wash made for oily or acne prone skin, while dry skin should use a wash made for dry or aging skin.

Step 5: Eat Right

We have all heard that saying "you are what you eat", but did you know that what you put inside your body could affect the outside of your body? It is important to eat the right foods to maintain healthy skin. Spring brings with it many wonderful fruits & vegetables, so there are plenty of options to eat your way to great skin. Some of my favorites include blueberries, blackberries & watermelon which are packed with antioxidants that are great for skin. Fresh vegetables like spinach & kale are also a spring time favorite.

It is easy to make these simple changes for your skins sake & what better time then now. Let's get started!

Hello, I need a little help please. I am trying to purchase the exfoliating face bath (lavender) but the site won’t take me to the product. Is it still available? Please advise.
